Twilight or Harry Potter

Yup, it is. Given there are two stories in the Hobbit, but still... I don't think it is necessary. LotR it was, and it didn't happen... I WANTED TO SEE SARUMAN GET HIS ASS KICKED BY HOBBITS DAMN IT!

There should be a side story.  Just for that scene.

To be fair I have not read Meyer's stuff, but I have no interest in the series based on what others have told me.  And although I shouldn't judge a book by its movie, I saw the first Twilight movie with my friend who loved it and I could not get into the story whatsoever.  If the movie is any indication, Twilight is nothing more than poorly written "romance" (although Edward's actions seemed more stalker-ish to me...that and the main character's actors constantly look high. O_o;; ).

The Twilight movies are actually very good movies of books... in that they're almost exactly like the books, without significant plot/characters/cool scenes being cut out (looking at you, Harry Potter and LotR...). Which should tell you just how much there is of all three, especially given how each of the books is a brick to rival the latter Harry Potters.

Pretty much the point I was making. Even with half of the minor plot and characters lost in the movies, it's still got more of and a higher quality of both.
