I was never really into knowing what chars were on what tiers etc, I just started playin jiggs because the guy who would make me play SSBM all the time was one of those people, and the only way I could ever do anything to him was by making use of jigg's crazy movement.
Yes I know, I just mentioned that due to it being mildly recent change. She was much lower on the list before. I'm not good at melee in the slightest but Jiggs is my favorite... and he's cute.

As for what PT mentioned before, Falco/Fox/Wolf SD. Epic failure on my part, over and over again.
I liked Marth in Melee, but Roy better. Now I prefer Marth to Ike (mostly because of Ike's crappy recovery, but also Marth's sheer awesomeness.)

And there are also a lot of Roy users. Looks like my favourite characters are widely common (although I have to say that I used to be able to play in Melee with nearly every character - except Roy, Ness, Ice Climbers, Pichu, Jigglypuff and the Mario-Types - at a similar strength)...
