Over the next years there will be more games that will definitely rise the sales of the 3DS. Mario Kart is one along with Residant Evil.
No, screw Resident Evil and screw Capcom. Don't even get me started with that.
and yeah randompi, DS was in a similar boat, that doesn't make it acceptable.

Just sayin', the 3DS will pick up soon enough; the concept is relatively great in terms of the times.
Concept and execution don't necessarily equate to each other. There are far too many negatives/concerns for the system and far too many games to make it a must buy. Most people who have any level of interest are waiting for the inevitable 3DSi to fix some of the issues it's facing. And anyone who thinks there won't be a 3DS v2 is deluding themselves. The DS had DS phat, DSlite, DSi, and DSi XL all between November 2004 and March 2010. So 4 systems over the course of 64 months, or a new system about every 16 months.

Woah, Jeez sorry. I was just stating what a lot of people want.
Yeah GinRei is pretty much correct. the 3DS is still having some problems (mine tends to freeze on several occasions), and so many addons are coming in the future. The best thing for many right now is to get the 3DS in a year or so, when more games are out and its a little more stable. I was too excited and had to get it.l xP Nintendo has already released a couple of updates to fix the stability.

I think you guys are in denial for buying it at full price before the price cut, 20 old nes and gameboy games aren't going to convince me that it was worth buying the 3ds for 80$ more.

Considering everyone else has to buy them at like $5-8 a piece, it is like a hundred dollar value. So those that buy at full price are getting more for their money.

Considering the odds of someone choosing to buy even a majority of them is incredibly small, it's not that big a value. Sure, you get a nice discount, but you're being forced to "buy" things you otherwise likely wouldn't.

Some people wouldn't, that's for sure. I on the other hand, would. It's a matter of wants.
Why would you guys even buy a 3ds right now? What was your incentive? There are absolutely no quality games out, and the quality games coming out in the future are all remade games . Plus, the price drop was inevitable after the Vita price-matched it and the drop in sales compared to the DS launch.
I heard some person on the internet using this news to buy a 3DS from Target or some other store at the current price, and then using some price-matching deal they have to get refunded when the price drops
if such a thing actually works (and the place has a deal like that), it's ingenious :V
not worth it for me as I have many worthwhile games for NES/GBA but there's so much crap for NES and GBA that's better than anything on 3DS, it's not even funny so yes, it's a good deal. I bought Majora's Mask on VC for 1000 Nintendo points, doesn't mean it isn't better than basically every 60 dollar game, or almost every game period for that matter.

Target may do it, but most people I'm reading about doing it are doing it at Best Buy, since theirs is 30 days. I think Target's is only 7 or 14 days.
