clearly Nobunaga's Ambition Pokemon and that rumored Star Fox X Metroid made too much sense as crossovers.

Honestly while I've never played a game in the series, SMT does not deserve to still be so niche in the west so if this helps achieve that, I'm certainly not gonna complain.

So words came out today that the SMT x FE game will be an RGP (my prediction that it'd be a fighting game was slash into pieces) This is getting more awesome :P
This game is the single system seller for me, which brings me to a new dilemma: when to buy a Wii U.
*sigh* I think I'll wait about year for the price to drop a little bit and buy it as the game comes out! :)

I'm wondering when they'll announce the first Fire Emblem for the Wii U also

Prices always drop, until it suddenly becomes "vintage" and thus super-valuable. The year part, on the other hand, isn't very realistic. ::)

Went to try and get the Awakening yesterday. Zero luck, apparently (at least the GameStop here) has a ginormous shortage and they didn't even have enough for all the preorders.

Debating whether I should just download the digital copy instead, but I kinda prefer having the cartridge.

I did get the art book for free though because they didn't have the game. V: Actually that was pretty cool.

And seeing as it's $65 on Amazon..... ugh. Guess I'll be getting the digital copy. Damn.

Looking forward to April when Awakening is supposed to be released in Europe. I hope it will be easy to get where I live, but I guess not...

I've noticed that this is the only game so far this year with a Metascore above 90.

If you haven't gone for digital yet, I suggest checking Best Buy and Target.  Some of them have it in stock while Gamestop and Amazon have had ridiculous shortages.

Nah, I bought the digital copy.

Besides Best Buy and Target are kind of a pain in the ass to get to where I live.

Amazon sent me my pre-order on Feb 13th, "only" nine days after the release date.
My experience with Amazon tells me that if it says "Usually ships in 1 -2 weeks" on the website, then I should get my order within a week or so (I have Prime).

Lon'qu is the love of my life. I have turned Donnel into such a boss. He can now solo any map \o/

I ended up with the digital copy. :) Been taking time away from the actual storyline (I'm only up to Chapter 10) to level all characters and build ALL supports so far. : D;; My Donnel is also a boss, although only level 22 out of 30 right now. I'll switch him to something else once he reaches his max on the villager class.

Why would you do that?  There's no need to go above level 10 on a pre-premote class, and 16 on a promoted (or special (villager, manakete, taguel)) class.  In fact, it's detrimental to experience gains to do so.  You don't gain any skills past those points, and as stated, makes experience gains later lower.  The only reason to do that in previous games was because of finite chances to get level ups.  That's not an issue in this game.

Also, my wrecking ball characters at the moment are Owain and Lucina.  They just rip through everything like it's butter, even moreso than other characters that have had similar growths.  My disappointing character at the moment is Yarne.  I expected more out of him.

Ah, so they changed the level-up system in this one?  Good to know, as I was reading the first part of that I was thinking, "What is he crazy?  You miss out on so many stat gains that way!" :P

I really want to get this game, but I also haven't really been finishing handheld games lately, so I'll feel kind of guilty if I do.  And then I also probably won't get my presentation done that I plan on doing for my spring break flights :-X
