I was a bit disappointed by the scene at the prison on the last one

Laurel showed us she could punch, and in this episode, just for the plot, she's the helpless little princess? I was kind of angry at that!
Otherwise the rest of the episode was nice, the plot seems to progress, which is great because I was kind of tired of the villain of the week

since people were all talking about it, decided to watch this show, it's pretty good but there are a few parts that irk me, like this one:

I didn't know anything about Green Arrow coming into this, and what surprised me most is that he doesn't mind killing (unlike Batman). I'm all right with it.

I'm fine with heroes who are fine with killing, but I think it's a bit weird how he makes a point of bringing all the villains (minus one) to justice via legal means (even if the method of obtaining the means is illegal). It's a very "boy scout hero" type of thing to do, to show that the hero is better than the villain, but in his case he's already mowed through countless redshirts anyway, so why not just shoot the guy who's actually evil in the face and call it a day?

also, considering they're explaining his athleticism and his knowledge of language, his arsenal kinda annoys me because of its lack of explanation. I doubt the hunter guy taught him how to make bank-hacking arrows.

I'm not sure how much I agree with that, but I also dunno about many episodes you've seen so far. Simply killing some of the villains so far wouldn't do anything, especially in the case of...

the one he needed to testify and the one he intended to extort money from for the families of the fire victims.

Not being averse to killing but also being content with asserting control over the villains where no one was above them before is a more powerful precedent to set than just killing them, I think.

I've seen all the eps so far, and that's a fair point for #3, but for Ep 2:

the only thing I recall him testifying about that they actually cared about was the fact that he killed the girl's dad, and since the girl already knew that he did it, the testimony was pretty much just evidence to get the guy jailed up, in which case he woulda saved a lot of screentime just murking the guy at the beginning of the episode.

and it's good to know the arsenal will be explained next episode, but until I see it, I'll hold my breath on how he can make arrows capable of hacking banks

y'know, I kinda have a hard time sympathizing with the protagonist when he's busy emotionally manipulating everybody against the dude who's both completely right and has a legit reason to hate the guy.

"the video clearly shows him picking up a hood hidden in a duffel bag, and there's all this other evidence!"
"wow dude, why do you hate him so much? You're just trying to make him the vigilante because he killed your daughter/my sister!"

Well I mean, he was called out on his manipulation by Diggle. I imagine one of the next big dramas will be when, since I imagine the possible ratings are too good to pass up, but when, Laural finds out he really is "The Hood." Probably in some way saving her or her fathers life. I did at first have a bit of dislike for the detective until I took a step back and realized....well he is right on every count lol. But I like a protagonist who isn't perfect, who isn't a 100% good person. Makes them more....human I guess.
