Okamiden seems to be the semi-annual (if even that) Capcom sequel that isn't a blatant rushed cash-in.

started playing Okami today, pretty interesting.

I just hope that it doesn't hold your hand through puzzles like it did for that first Valley area with the first guardian tree. Yes, I've seen the painting, I knew what I had to do as soon as I saw it, you don't have to show me the painting 5 times. D:

edit: Also, the pyrotechnist's firework the "Midnight Wonder Boy", I wonder how many Viewtiful Joe references this game has :V

You can see it anytime, you gotta help mrs orange dry her clothes, then at night, go back to her house and she'll give you some cherry cakes, and the sequence that plays is kinda viewtiful joe-ish

Well, those cherry cakes do fill your astral pouch up a lot

my first one's almost full, and I haven't gotten a second one yet so I'll hold off on that then :V

I was saving up for the second pouch, but then Waka beat me pretty badly when I only had 4 health so I wasted it on the extra health.

Lol, waka's really easy if you prepare for him

compared to everything else in the game up until that point, he's pretty hard, considering everything else could just be easily slashed to death (or, after getting it, lolcherrybomb'd).

Also, was trying to get the hang of the shield and the whippy weapon, since I'd just gotten it, which resulted in a lot of attacks hitting me. :V
