My main concern is which language do I choose?  Japanese has Daisuke Ono and Miyuki Sawashiro as voice choices for the main character and their kids.  But English is... in English.

It was always going to be the regular 3DS.  That's how it was in Japan, and they aren't going to redesign hardware for America.

Actually, it does.  By testing standards, about an extra 58% to 65% better battery life.  3DS is rated for 3.5 to 6.5 hours, XL for 6 to 10 hours.

Also, apparently Liam O'Brien is one of the voice choices for the player unit.  Archer, ho!

Tried out the demo.  Normal mode was annoying me, since it wouldn't let me pair up, but otherwise it felt a bit too easy.  Was obviously tired by the time I tried hard mode, since I didn't even look at the map before charging in.  Didn't cost me anyone, but made me realize "Hey, go to bed".

That said, I can't decide what stat spread I want my avatar to have.  Leaning towards +Skill or +Speed and -Resist, but not sure.  Might do -Luck.  Hard choices.

I thought the demo was awesome.
I never play any games with the 3D on, but I tried it anyway, and to my surprise, the 3D actually looks good.


Normal and hard mode were okay, but lunatic was a pain. I kept getting one-hit by the enemies until I decided to give up.

Frederick is awesome, one-hitting everyone and whatnot.

At first I hated the fact that they didn't let us try and mess with customization one bit, but "Robin" didn't turn out to be bad looking at all.

My guess is that this will be a fighting game, sort of like Persona 4 Arena. But it'll be awesome if it's an actual RPG.
