Haha, that would be terribad.

Thankfully not though.  From what I understand:
Spoiler:
Link discovers the Skyward Sword in Skyloft and this sword guides Link between his homeland (Skyloft) and Hyrule. The Skyward Sword eventually becomes the Master Sword. I'm a little iffy about how the SS will actually assume the form of a girl or whatever when she advises Link. In the concept art released back in 2009, I always thought she looked a little like the Queen of Fairies from Wind Waker.

A scan from the official Nintendo magazine. :)

I think I read somewhere that SS is supposed to be the origin story of the Master Sword, but I can't remember if that's something I made up because I'm crazy or if it's actually true.
oh god where do I begin.

The Majora's Mask problem already explained but four of those games have the wrong release date! It's forgiveable for Minish Cap and Wind Waker as many people would get that wrong considering they were both probably the first big hits of the year after, or maybe they were confused with the japanese release date, but how do you confuse the LTTP remake's date with the GCN Four Swords. In an official Nintendo magazine? I know LTTP GBA had a 4 Swords too but that's no excuse. And Phantom Hourglass in the same year as Spirit Tracks, that's an incredible mistake.

Or maybe NoE had stupid release dates. That would explain a lot.

also regarding the timeline:

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/26851
- Iwata asks Miyamoto about the story and he mentions that he would love it if people would stop focusing on the story, because having to pay attention to all of those details ends up wasting a lot of time. He'd much rather focus on the game itself. He likens this to Yoshi - people as if he is a boy or a girl? Well he's probably a boy, he says. Then he shouldn't be able to produce eggs. But if he's a girl his voice should be more girlie, etc, etc.
Miyamoto wants you to forget about it :P
