Bang! the card game (mafia junkies plz read)

I just played this game a couple days ago, and it's like the most addicting card game I have ever played - I stayed up past 3 AM two nights in a row when I had class in the morning.

Okay, in a nutshell, this game is basically Mafia with cards.  You play with 4-10 players usually, and it has similar roles to the roles in Mafia.

Bang! is set in a wild wild west era, so you have a Sheriff (a cop), his deputies (his lieutenants), outlaws (mafia members), and renegades (every man for himself).  Everyone gets a role, unlike in Mafia where you have citizens.  Now, all the roles are unknown to everyone except yourself, UNLESS you are the Sheriff.  Everyone knows who the Sheriff is.

The Sheriff wins by killing all the outlaws and renegades, same with the deputies.  Outlaws win by killing the Sheriff.  Renegades just want to be the last one standing (meaning in the beginning, they want to teamup with the police force to wipe out the outlaws, and then take out other deputies/renegades, just leaving the him/her with the Sheriff left to kill).

Now, the fun part of the game is all the cards - you can equip yourself with weapons like revolvers, alcohol to heal life, volcanic pistols (all in the theme of Spaghetti Westerns), horses, to help protect yourself and kill others.

The game is full of deceit, alliances, and trickery.  I love all the roles because each have their own strategies - such as the outlaw who can either blend in with the rest of the players, or just go gung-ho and blitz the shit out of the Sheriff.

The Sheriff is probably my favorite role, because he has the most power - basically in the beginning in the game, everyone wants to suckup to the Sheriff, unless people will accuse you of an outlaw.  You can imagine the Sheriff can abuse his power like this, such as "HEY! give me that item!" etc etc.


Anyways, i hope I did a decent job of explaining the game, I'll send the wikipedia link for more extensive rules/background about the game (i skipped out on more of the intricate details such as characters).  If you are interested, look into the game.  It's effing fun, especially for parties or if you live in dorms with other students/etc.
