Just finished season 1 and I have to say I am quite impressed with it. I think it only airs on HBO so it's not that well known, but the episodes are easy to find and when I look at reviews everyone seems to love it. Its a more realistic look at the whole drugs situation here in the U.S., and since I'm studying to be a detective this adds more to the show in my mind. I'm downloading seasons 2 and 3 right now . Anyone one else watched it?
Despite the fact that after two episodes it seems to be using every "LOOK WE'RE CONTROVERSAL" idea in the book (drugs, n words, f bombs, lesbians, now it just needs some humor making fun of or physically assaulting the mentally challenged and to show a pointless sex scene), I am interested in continuing to watch this show and want to know where the plot is going (which should be the point of any show with any real story).
Also, here's some fun irony. The original reason I decided to watch this show is that it was the only way to convince my friend to watch some Detective Conan.
Haha a friend of mine suggested the show to me so I decided what can it hurt, and although it's true that they are trying to include controversial ideas (and dont worry about the ones they are missing ) the story line keeps you hooked. Although I do have to say I think its annoying in my mind how there are episodes in which I am close to shutting my laptop down but then after the last 5 min of the episode have been watched I have to watch the next episode immediately.
