Hattori and Ellery Queen

Just picked up a random Ellery Queen book from the library: The Door Between. I haven't read much yet but the first two chapters was just hilarious! Why? Well, Ellery Queen is Hattori's favourite writers, right? So of course, he must have read that book, and I wonder: did he understand anything at all of the first two chapters of that book? XD XD
Just had to get this out in here, cause I start laughing every time I hink about it.

(I guess I should tell what happened in those chapters, but I'm horrible at explaining even though it was all very simple. I'll leave that job to whoever wants to write about it =P )
